Background, training and clinical practice

 

Dr Vindya Johnston studied medicine at the University of Western Australia in her home town of Perth. Following internship and residency at Royal Perth Hospital (during which she was awarded a Masters of Surgical Sciences from University of Edinburgh), Vindya undertook her specialist surgical training in Western Australia with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. As a trainee Vindya spent time working in all three tertiary hospitals in Perth, followed by post fellowship training in acute surgery and breast surgery at Fiona Stanley Hospital. Dr Johnston is also accredited with the Gastroenterological Society of Australia in gastroscopy and colonoscopy.Now based full time in Bunbury with her husband (a Bunbury local) and young children, Vindya is committed to providing efficient and compassionate care for the people of the South-West.
